This one arrived mid-afternoon and was all washed and clean before tea-time walk-round.
2011 - Highhedges Blossom 2-11 by Lowergrove Fernando (09.2011)
Once this one had found her legs, she thought she was a racehorse! She would gallop around the field putting in spirts of speed and executing flying changes as she changed direction - sign of a well balanced beast. She has grown well, thanks to the milkiness of her dam and the gift of her genetics.
Her first time out was Herts County Show, and she was giving away 6 months to the oldest in the class. She was placed third. She has good length and width, so we are hopeful for the future. She was second in the pairs with her three quarters sister and second in her class at Bucks County Show 2012.

2010 - Highhedges Blossom by Mara Epic (09.2010)
This lovely heifer will always have a huge place in my heart as she was the first born on our farm. She has a sweet temperament and is a serene presence in the herd. She was shown in 2011 successfully. First time out and giving away away 6.5 months, she finished fifth at Herts County Show. This was an outing for experience and she appeared as the calf at foot when her Mum won the Cow class.
Her next outing was Oxford County & Thame show, were she won her class for Pedigree Hereford Heifers born after 1 September 2010. She followed up at Bucks County Show where she won her class for Pedigree Hereford Heifers born after 1 September 2010.
The Midlands & East Anglian Hereford Breeders Association then sponsored a Special Prize for the best animal from the male and female classes for those born after 1 September 2010 which she took too.

He was bought in as a steer, and lived here happily until his departure on the journey to being sold in one first batch of beef boxes.
