Mara Epic, pictured left at 2.5 years old at grass and right at 5 years old. This bull is real evidence of the Hereford's ability to grow, flesh and do on a grass-based diet. Epic is a son of FH Diamond ET. On the dam side, he has Blossom and Pansy cow family bloodlines. He was the first calf of Mara Blossom 26 who is still producing at the Mara. Without exception, he has proven himself as an easy calving bull - both on heifers and cows. He is the sire of Highhedges Blossom, winner at Oxford County & Thame and Bucks County shows in 2011, the winning pair of calves and HighHedges Blossom 6.13, Junior Female Champion at the National Show of Hereford Cattle 2014.
Lowergrove Fernando
Herts County Show 2012, Hereford Male Champion
Lowergrove Fernando is a son of Mara Archer out of Mara Diadem P2, a big milking cow who produced 11 calves. He is the sire of our 2011 and 2012 autumn calves. He sired HighHedges Blosson 2-11, reserve Senior Female Champion at the National Show 2014. He is what you look for in a Hereford bull. - fertile - calves arrive unaided and hit the ground running - calm temperament, easy to handle - leg at each corner, looks strong, moves straight - puts width and backside into his calves - not forced, did on forage - well marked and a delicious ruby red colour
